Completely agreed here, though the 140s were pretty awesome in their own right.

Good to see a few songs on this one that really fit into my tastes. 187 was kinda lacking in that regard.

For some reason, "Queen of Mean" really gives me flashbacks to "The Fire and the Rain", though, so far...

There was a certain organic energy to old Eurobeat, possibly carried over from Italodisco, which endeared it to me back in the days of SEB 70-120, before it slowly began to grow more convoluted and machine-like.
I realize now that if I had listened to modern eurobeat I might have dismissed it as ...

Only flaw is, to most Americans, SEB _IS_ "shit-packing queermo" music.

One can maybe hope that we're witnessing the fall of Avex, as far as SEB goes, and someone/something comes along that'll give the labels the ability to release whatever they have to release, when they want to release it, instead of having an overlord like Avex sitting on a song for years at a time.

I take it that a lot of you americans don't go to clubs or dance parties often? It is rap, hip hop, R&B, etc... that is played all the time. It is the best music for that sort of club dancing (grinding, so on...the works). No complaints since I have come to accept it :)

This may be the most schizophrenic SEB I can think of....ever. There are a couple songs on here that are REALLY good, IMO, from the samples, and then there are ALSO quite a few that I'd almost classify as 154-level bad.

I have to say the songs I'm most looking forward to are Ace's and Ace Warrior's.

Kinda disappointed that there isn't more love for "The One For Me". This has to be one of the more amazing songs I've heard out of SEB in a while now.

I wouldn't really count the Neuro Remix as a Eurobeat song, it's a bit too slow to really fit. More just an arbitrary synth line ...
